Our stay at Gasthaus Schwanen was a delight from start to finish. The charming apartment offered all the comforts of home, including a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy living room. The serene orchard garden outside was the perfect spot to unwind with a glass of wine and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.The hotel's restaurant impressed us with its delicious regional specialties, and we couldn't resist trying the wild boar and fresh venison from the guest house's own hunting grounds. The attention to detail in every dish was evident, reflecting the care and dedication of the owners in delivering a truly memorable culinary experience.The surrounding Black Forest countryside provided us with ample opportunities to explore, from the historical Sauschwänzle railway to the breathtaking Rheinfall waterfalls in Schaffhausen. We found the location of the hotel to be ideal for day trips to nearby Switzerland, Alsace, and Lake Constance, offering us a diverse range of activities to choose from.The warm hospitality and helpfulness of the staff made our stay even more enjoyable, and we appreciated the free WiFi throughout the property, as well as the 24-hour tea and coffee machine. We felt truly at home amidst the beautiful surroundings and welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to returning to this hidden gem in the heart of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park.
